AWFUL! I recently relocated from Denver, CO to the Houston area. The closest Banfield to my house is the Humble location. The Banfield in Denver that we went to was amazing! I am sad to say that I am very disappointed in the Banfield location in Humble. I called the Humble location to schedule my dog Deja's annual exam. The girl I spoke with told me I could drop her off for her annual the next day. I was surprised by this suggestion because my last Banfield location (or any other vet I've gone to for that matter) has never told me I should drop off my dog for her visit, unless it involved a surgical procedure. I mentioned that I would rather not and the girl I was speaking to insisted that this was the way they always do it to ensure the exam is executed properly. Deja has severe separation anxiety and dropping her off at a new place with people she has NEVER met would traumatize her for months. I explained this to the girl on the phone who reluctantly let me schedule an appointment for 2:00pm the next Wednesday. I show up with Deja 10 minutes early for our 2:00pm on Wednesday. There were two girls standing at the counter, one seemed to be in training. They both ignored me for a few minutes while I stood there. The employee doing the training looked up and said, "Oh, hi. She will be with you in a minute." So I wait, even though one of them clearly could have at least gotten my name. I finally give them my info and they can't find my appointment in the system and asked if I got a confirmation call yesterday, which I did not. My last vet didn't do this and I never had an issue with my appointments. They suggested I drop off Deja for her exam. After I explain the separation anxiety again, the employee in training went to the back to see if a doctor was available. The employee training the new hire said to me, "She's new. She didn't schedule the appointment, only saved it in the system." Honestly, I think that throwing your new employee under the bus like this is unprofessional and disrespectful to the trainee and the company. The trainer should take responsibility and at least APOLOGIZE for the mistake. The trainee comes back out and tells me I can wait an hour for a vet to be available. I asked if this was my only option and she said, "Pretty much." I ended up rescheduling for the following week, which was my suggestion. Throughout this whole interaction not one of them acknowledged Deja or apologized. I show up the following Wednesday 10 minutes early for the 9:00am appointment. The trainee is there and she asked me what she could do for me. I told her I was there for an annual exam for Deja. She responded with, "Well I see you're about 10 minutes early so I'll get you checked in in about 10 minutes." No explanation as to why. My guess is that the system wasn't up and running yet? So we wait the 10 minutes. She checks us in and we wait for a room to be ready. 9:15am and we are finally in a room. The first thing the vet tech says to me is that they will be taking Deja to the back to complete the exam. Seriously? I explain the separation anxiety. Deja is nearly in my lap scared already. The vet comes in, they corner her in the room and start trying to scoot her towards the vet. I finally had to get on the floor with her so that she would stop shaking so badly, which calmed her down but irritated the staff. They were knowledgeable but did not handle my dog well at all and did not suggest a cheaper heart worm prevention when I mentioned the price. At the end of the exam I could not get out fast enough. I will never come back to this Banfield ever again and will not be renewing my wellness plan. The front desk was rude and the vet tech and vet did not seem to care that my dog was cowering and scared. They did nothing to try to calm her or get to know her before starting the exam. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Sorry for the length...

  • I have used this Banfield location since 2013 when we moved to the Humble/Kingwood area and I would not trade this staff for anything. Dr Phillips and the staff take the time to get to know you and your pets as well as give them the best care possible. Both my dogs (my older one started with the Banfield in Webster) have had serious medical issues that could have taken their lives and the staff did so much more than I could have imagined to save their lives and give us a treatment plan to continue to keep them happy and healthy. My little furbabies LOVE going there.

Beyond Disappointed!!!!!! I signed up for the wellness plan and I didn't get any services done. They cancelled my schedule appointment, but when I am few minutes late and they decide to let the staff go home early. I do not get a refund because I was late. That is total crap in customer service, I had to use my GPS and could not call in to tell them I am late. BUT then again they could not call me to verify I was still coming. You have to confirm your appointment because if you don't then they drop your appointment time.
